About Rev. Nathan DeWard

Nathan is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned an undergraduate degree at Calvin University in 1998 in Religion and Philosophy and a master of divinity in 2003 at Western Theological Seminary.

Nathan is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Reformed Church in America, the oldest protestant denomination in America, rooted in dutch immigrant communities.

Nathan has served as a congregational pastor, denominational leader, leadership coach, and non-profit executive. Since 2014, Nathan has served with Reach the Forgotten Jail Ministry, the largest jail-focused correctional ministry in America.
